‘Infinity Swords’ deadline change
To all authors invited to submit to “The Infinity Swords” anthology:
Several writers have had real-life events, etc., get in the way of writing their yarns for us, and we have some business stuff to sort out, too, so we’ve pushed back the deadline for submissions to “The Infinity Swords.”
You now have until June 15. Good luck!
– Carnivah House
NOTE, NOV. 12, 2007: Apparently, some writers have seen this older post and incorrectly concluded the deadline is June 15, 2008. That’s incorrect; we begin accepting general submissions Jan. 1, 2008, and close the window Jan. 15, 2008. Sorry for any confusion.

Cool! Thanks – you don’t know how relieved I am to see that I misread your email. Since I haven’t been reading my emails until the wee hours of the night I must have been a bit groggy and thought you extended to May 15 – which I was very happy for, but reading June 15th just made my day!

This is great news. Now my story won’t suck nearly as much as it would have!

Gere, Steve, Tom -
I posted “Sanctuary” on the SFReader forum and got some great comments. Is it possible to send you a revision? It’s a LOT better and so far it’s only gained 1 word…
Thanks,
Ellie

By the way, any word on the timeline for decision-making on submissions?

SC: Sorry for the delay in responding. As of today, I believe we have sent responses to everyone who submitted. If you haven’t heard from us yet, let us know. That goes for any other invitees lurking here, too.

Steve: I wanted you to know that I got your response, but am unable to thank you via email. Excite.com is blocking my ISP at this time. (I am trying to get that cleared up.) I’ll be in touch soon, and thanks so much helping me get back on the path to writing!!

Deven: Sorry you had trouble emailing me. I suspect Excite.com is kicking some stuff out before it ever even reaches my spam filters, but I’ve reset mine to recognize email from you just in case. Try sending me something again when you get a chance.

Yep, Excite.com is still kicking it out. I have my ISP looking into correcting the situation with Excite.
I did want to tell you that was the best non form letter rejection I have ever gotten. Now that I think about it, it is the only non form letter rejection I have ever gotten. Which is a step up for me.
I’ll pester my ISP and Excite and get the email issue fixed.
